My focus was on black female skaters, a group that often goes unrecognized and underrepresented. As a fellow black female skater, this project was deeply personal to me and something I will continue throughout my life. My goal is to create a photobook showcasing the diverse and talented black women in skateboarding. I had the privilege of sharing my idea with established black female skaters in the industry, who were excited about my concept. Combining my love for photography and storytelling, I successfully created a meaningful photobook. The cover of my course graduate booklet featured my work, and it was also displayed at Bonnighton Gallery. Through my project, I hope to spread the message that skateboarding is an inclusive activity for all. With the guidance of my mentor  Chris MacDonald, a master in marketing, I learned the crucial concept of building a personal brand. His wisdom and expertise shaped my understanding and set me on the path to success.
